Partnership to support Evans Scholars Foundation

GLENVIEW, Ill. The Western Golf Association and Evans Scholars Foundation have established a new partnership with Swag Golf, making the fast-growing golf brand the Official Putter and Headcover of the WGAESF, organization leaders announced today.

With this two-year agreement, Swag becomes an Official Supporter of the Evans Scholars Foundation. Swag will provide annual support to the Foundation, which sent 1,100 youth caddies to 22 leading universities nationwide on full tuition and housing scholarships during the 2022-23 academic year.

Swag – headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois – will also be a Proud Supplier of the BMW Championship and a presenting sponsor of two exciting fan activations promoting the 2023 BMW Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Illinois, on Aug. 15-20.

During the Chicago Cubs’ homestand over Father’s Day weekend, Swag and the BMW Championship will be in Gallagher Way at Wrigley Field to unveil the BMW Championship Electric Moments presented by Swag Golf. Using Swag putters, fans will compete in a long-putt contest to win 2023 BMW Championship tickets and other premium prizes. Swag will also sponsor the BMW Championship Putting Challenge on site during the 2023 BMW Championship and make a special collection of their highly sought-after products available to fans at Olympia Fields.

“We’re excited to partner with this growing local brand as the BMW Championship returns to Chicago in 2023,” said WGA President & CEO John Kaczkowski. “Like the WGA, Swag Golf is committed to bringing the game of golf to everyone. Swag’s support of the BMW Championship and the Evans Scholars Foundation will help us introduce more young people to the game while sending more caddies to college.”

Since 2018, Swag has built a loyal following for its high-end precision putters and limited-edition headcovers and accessories. The company’s product drops typically sell out in a matter of minutes, and its ambassador roster includes recent PGA TOUR winner and Northbrook native Nick Hardy, LPGA professional Anna Nordqvist, Instagram sensation Paige Spiranac and World Series Champion Jon Lester.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to show off the Swag golf style and partner with the WGA to make golf more accessible, fun and engaging,” said Swag founder Nick Venson. “We’re proud to work with an organization that has such a rich history in golf and provides life-changing opportunities to young people.”
