Financial services leader to support the Evans Scholars Program

GLENVIEW, Ill. — The Western Golf Association (WGA) and Evans Scholars Foundation (ESF) have announced an expanded partnership with Morgan Stanley that will see the financial services leader elevate the WGA’s prestigious amateur and junior golf championships and take an active role in supporting the Evans Scholars Program.

Now in the second year of a three-year agreement, Morgan Stanley will be a proud partner of the 123rd Western Amateur live stream, bringing the excitement of golf’s third oldest amateur championship to homes and mobile devices worldwide on Aug. 1 and 2. Morgan Stanley is also a proud partner of the Western Junior, as well as the Women’s Western Golf Association’s Women’s Western Amateur and Women’s Western Junior.

In addition to supporting the WGA’s championships, Morgan Stanley will be the presenting sponsor of ESF’s Birdie Ball fundraising events in Cincinnati, Denver and Detroit, as well as a supporting sponsor of the Birdie Ball in Chicago. Morgan Stanley will also work with ESF’s Life Skills & Career Development team to host a networking event for Evans Scholars, participate in a career exploration panel for youth caddies and post career opportunities to the ESF job board.

“We’re grateful for Morgan Stanley’s continued commitment to championship-level amateur golf and their efforts to bring coverage of our flagship amateur event to a worldwide audience,” said John Kaczkowski, WGA President and CEO. “Now their involvement is extending beyond the golf course to the Evans Scholars Program, where they will play a critical role in helping us prepare the next generation of leaders.”

Morgan Stanley’s support will enable the WGA to provide more than 12 hours of live streaming coverage of the Western Amateur at Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, Illinois. Fans will be able to watch the thrilling conclusion, as the next generation of PGA TOUR stars compete in the same event that has tested legends like Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods, as well as current stars like Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.

“We are thrilled at the opportunity to deepen our relationship and expand our corporate sponsorship of the Western Golf Association and Evans Scholars Foundation in 2025,” said Rob Meredith, Mid-America Regional Director, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. “Giving back is part of Morgan Stanley’s core values and this initiative brings together our shared commitment to give back, develop future leaders, and deliver positive impact to the communities where we live and work.”

Morgan Stanley will continue its role as a proud partner of the WGA’s portfolio of national amateur and junior championships for young men and women.

The Western Junior Championship, the United States’ oldest national junior golf championship, has long been a testing ground for stars of the future, including current professional standouts Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler, Rickie Fowler and Tiger Woods. The 2025 Western Junior will be played at The Harvester Club in Rhodes, Iowa.

The Women’s Western Amateur, held without interruption since 1901, is the oldest annually played championship in women’s golf. It attracts many of the top amateurs in the world, with past competitors going on to win a combined 135 major championships. The 2025 Women’s Western Amateur will be contested in July at Red Run Golf Club in Royal Oak, Michigan.

First played in 1920, the Women’s Western Junior is the oldest junior national championship for young women in the United States. Long seen as a preview of the stars of the future, past Women’s Western Junior champions have gone on to record over 200 victories on the LPGA Tour. The 2025 Women’s Western Junior is set to be played at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.
