Highest rating available from nation’s premier independent charity evaluator

GLENVIEW, Ill. – The Evans Scholars Foundation has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for the fifth straight year, in recognition of the foundation’s governance and other best practices for nonprofit organizations.

The coveted 4-star rating, the highest honor possible, recognizes the foundation’s sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency. It indicates that the ESF adheres to best practices, fulfills its mission in a financially efficient way and exceeds industry standards. Only 17 percent of the charities evaluated have received at least five consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that the ESF outperforms most other charities.

“We are honored that Charity Navigator has again recognized us for our fiscal responsibility in ensuring that the funds we receive are used responsibly in our mission to help send caddies to college,” said John Kaczkowski, President and CEO of the Western Golf Association and Evans Scholars Foundation.

Charity Navigator is America's premier independent charity evaluator. They provide in-depth, objective ratings and analysis of the financial health and accountability and transparency of America's largest charities.

“We are proud to announce Evans Scholars Foundation has earned our fifth consecutive 4-star rating,” said Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. “This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets Evans Scholars Foundation apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”
