Overview

The primary duty of the Credit Analyst is providing credit underwriting support to m2’s credit department by performing a variety of administrative and analytical tasks related to the presentation of loan and lease financing requests.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Assists the underwriting process by preparing credit reports/documents including and not limited to pulling and analyzing credit reports on borrowers and/or guarantors.
  • Conducts thorough analysis of financial statements and assessments of credit requests including collateral analysis.
  • Provides recommendations tied to analysis and assessment of credit risk.
  • Supports the sales producers via direct communication with borrowers and business sources as required.
  • Keeps up to date with m2’s lending procedures and policies.
  • Assists in completion of monthly or quarterly problem loan reports as directed by management and manages a variety of routine administrative and reporting functions as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Interacts and cooperates with m2 administrative staff to provide timely responses to internal and external customer inquiries and servicing needs.
  • Participates in all-staff meetings and other company events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional understanding of financial statements.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Preference given to candidates with previous customer service/sales experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use.
