The Legal Analyst is primarily responsible for reducing risks to our company. Secondary responsibility is assisting both corporate and sales departments by assessing their business needs in areas such as customer agreements, contracts, new product releases, and importing and exporting regulations. A successful individual in this role demonstrates strong critical thinking skills and the ability to translate strategic business plans and goals into actionable projectss.

Job Responsibilities

  • Legal review of customer’s and vendor’s legal documents and agreements
  • Drafting and editing Keyence legal documents
  • Legal law researcher of statutes, legislations and other state and Federal regulations, including new safety compliance requirements
  • Legal focused projects such as legal review of business law changes, updating compliance policies and procedures
  • Safety and compliance auditing. Occasional visits to Keyence sales offices to confirm compliance. Responding to customer compliance requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in PolySci, Business, or related degree
  • Integrity – job requires appropriate handling of confidential, sensitive information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, complex concept understanding
  • Able to work together in a team setting as well as individually
  • Ability to accurately and thoroughly document, record, and maintain information and data

Preferred Skills/Technical Skills

  • 1-2 years as legal intern or paralegal preferred
  • Online legal research experience with legal platforms such as Lexis Nexus or similar
  • Business acumen to create added value to our company, managers, and employees by aligning LPD practices with business objectives
  • Ability to establish and sustain positive and productive interpersonal relationships
